About us

MARANATHA


is an Aramaic, early Christian expression meaning "Our Lord, come!" referring to the glorious second coming of Christ. As a church, we exist to love Jesus and prepare for His return. We do this by building a resting place for His presence and sitting at His feet (see Luke 10:38 ff.). We also give practical expression to our loving longing for Jesus' coming by obeying His Great Commission (see Matthew 24:14). We prepare the way of the Lord by receiving, returning, and passing on His love to the world.

VISION

A resting place for God's presence, to receive, return, and pass on Jesus' love.

Creed

We believe in God, the Father, the Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, our Lord, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried, descended into the realm of death, on the third day rose from the dead, ascended into heaven; He sits at the right hand of God, the Almighty Father; from there He will come, to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the dead, and life everlasting. Amen.
